PATTERNS OF IMPROVEMENT : The case of Barrio da Liberdade

Throughout the  century, Barrio da Liberdade constantly tampered beyond it's original core with constructions of illegal origin. Liberdade is currently under discussion in the redevelopment and the illegal expropriation of privately owned land for the construction of social neighborhoods, by the Council of Lisbon. Therefore, it is important to create patterns of improvement regarding the housing and the public space of the neighborhood.
