Excellent work! Students integrated context based research, urban/architectural design innovation for specific individual and common needs for habitats regeneration with prototyping, incorporating their own international experience. BRAVO! T. Mrdjenovic

ReplyDeleteIntegrative approach as a reflection to local context living pattern. Students considered social issues as change in social structure for innovating new solutions using wiki house as a spatial tool. Here we can see three spatial levels in design: individual - apartments; common spaces within condominium, open public spaces at the level of micro scale urban design. Solutions at all three levels represents strategies to overcome problem of declining young people in the community. Therefore, they in integrative manner make qualitative improvements in place making rethinking the ʺUniteʺ as contemporary living pattern, as well as place making theory.

Excellent idea. Public spaces become carriers of social capital development, taking into account its opportunities to be shared among different needs, bounding community towards change in behavior, structure, values, communication. Think the idea should be develop further in order to use wiki house in open space.

Rebirth of plug in city/housing as a modular system for life change. Excellent, visionary, response to tower structure, its meaning and social change. The solutions are adaptable to unpredictable social structures in future giving and open framework for various options that can occur in housing needs. Tower become active, live organism that interacts with surrounding, therefore more sustainable for real living needs and patterns.

Inspiring “build yourself concept” – easy steps for inhabitants to create their own space according to their specific needs using wikihouse. The concept is most appropriate response to the task, however other groups were thinking in wider sense. Modular construction and elements enables people to use them dynamically following the life cycle of the family. Also, the presentation of the idea has marketing elements which is very important for pulling to change.
GRUPO LIBERDADE A
Creative solutions covering real individual and common needs for quality improvement of life condition. The strategies are focused in the tradition “people build for themseves“ with additional value of proffesional architectural design inputs using wiki house as a tool. Another value of the concept is its possibility for implementation in phases, regarding Maslov's hierarchy when basic needs are fullfiled (like kitchen, toilets, bedrooms) higher level will be aquiered through widening common space, here using wiki house for place making.
GRUPO LIBERDADE B
The approach falls into the hilosophy of „Modern project is still alive“ in the manner architecture can be use for social capital development in close cooperation with social institutions. The problems in the family as Colemsn's negative externalities of closed group are become an opportunity for overcoming them using modernictic architecture through wiki house. Therefore bottom-up approach is integrated into top-down creating solution that is aded value in diferent a areas, visual, aestetical, spatial, social, cultural. Excellent work.
GRUPO LIBERDADE C
„Wiki house open public space incubator“ as an instrument for Wollckloc's process of social capital development: bounding, linking buliding partnerships in habitat regeneration based on local values, identites, living patterns towards Castells' project identity of communiy. The incubator can be meeting plase, place for additional education, creative workshop or local community center. Excellent seed for future integrative regeneration of the settlement.
GRUPO LIBERDADE D
Concept addresses low cost changes that have huge impacts on living conditions using wiki house for transition from building towards architecture. Architectural space becomes a field for possibility to change in living, cultural patterns and become an example that neighbors should follow (“I will build the better house approach”). Students showed that architectural profession has building capacity role, and architects are still educators in “Enlighten project/process”.
